Academic Standards

PERIODIC EXAMINATIONS

  1. Periodic examinations are given four (4) times during the year.
  2. Tuition Fees must be settled before examination days including previous balances. In case of unsettled tuition fees before the periodic tests, the parent/parents concerned should present a promissory note to the school treasurer two days before the examination/ special tests are given to students who failed to take the examinations due to valid reasons.

 

REPORT CARDS

Report cards to indicate the students’ performance are issued regularly four (4) times a year. Parents are requested to sign and return the report cards to the teachers concerned within two (2) days after the issuance. Report cards may be withheld by the school authorities for non-payment of accounts. Report cards lost or misplaced by the students are to be replaced with a fine of P100.00

 

GRADING POLICIES

  1. The passing grade in any subject is 75%.
  2. Students in Grades III and IV who fail in one of the major subjects namely6 Science, Math and Communication Arts (ENGLISH) are barred from advancing to the next level even if they earn a general average of 75%.
  3. A student is allowed to repeat the same grade level only once. In case he/she fails for the second time, he/she will be advised to have a change of environment.
  4. In case a student lags behind, he/she will undergo built-in remedial classes to catch up on his/her deficiency.

 

GRADING SYSTEM

The grading system adopted in the school is averaging. Thus, each grading period is independent of the others. The periodic rating is the average of what is provided for in the computation of the subjects’ grades.

The final rating is the average of the four grading periods to the nearest hundredths.

Subject grades are computed according to the following percentage distributions:

 

FOR READING, MATH, MAPE, LANGUAGE, SOCIAL STUDIES, SCIENCE, AND FILIPINO

Behavior is based on GMRC Grading System which includes the following values/traits: Honesty (integrity), Courtesy (Respect), Helpfulness and Cooperation, Obedience, Spirituality (harmony), Sportsmanship, Self-reliance, Industry (responsibility), Neatness and Orderliness (self-discipline) and Nationalism.
